I completely forgot that I owned a pair of over the knee socks as my Mum had put them in my brother's room thinking that they were just a pair of huge men's black socks - a huge pair of men's socks with frilly lace - and since re-discovering them they've definitely proved a fun alternative to tights. I'm not sure my thighs were having such a fun time but I really liked the way they looked paired with this dress from LOVE... Maybe I should stick to layering them over tights until it stops feeling like the North Pole here. Ohh Winter, you really are a barrel of laughs.
